About Trades
Trades are completed NFT exchanges that occur when active offers are automatically matched by NFTDEX's AI algorithm or when users manually accept trade options. These trades are facilitated by NFTDEX's smart contract, which validates all conditions to ensure only valid offers and transferable NFTs are used. Once a trade is confirmed on the blockchain (approx. 15 confirmations), it is immutable and cannot be undone.
All completed trades securely transfer associated NFTs in an all-or-nothing process, guaranteeing fairness, transparency, and trust within the platform. NFTDEX provides notification when trades occur. If you are logged in during a trade, you will see a fireworks visual effect on-screen. If browser notifications are enabled, a fireworks sound effect will also play to celebrate the completed trade.
Key Features
Key features include:
- Automatic Transfers: Upon trade execution, all NFTs are simultaneously transferred between parties via NFTDEX's secure smart contract, ensuring an all-or-nothing process.
- Offer Matching: Trades are automatically formed when active offers align to meet supply and demand conditions, powered by NFTDEX's AI algorithm.
- Supplied and Received NFTs: Easily view the NFTs you've sent (supply) and received (demand) in each trade.
- Blockchain Transparency: Review transaction hashes for each trade, with direct links to the corresponding blockchain explorer for detailed verification.
- Timestamped Records: All trades include precise date and time information for easy tracking.
- NFT Details: Click on any NFT displayed in the trade history to open a detailed view, including attributes, ownership, and related metadata.
- Notifications: Get notified of successful trades with visual fireworks and optional sound effects (requires browser notification permissions).
How Trades Happen
Trades on NFTDEX occur through two validated mechanisms:
- Offer Matching: Active offers are automatically aligned by the AI algorithm to form a trade when supply and demand conditions are met. All corresponding NFTs are securely transferred simultaneously as part of the process.
- Option Acceptance: Users can manually accept trade options from the Options page. Once accepted, NFTs are instantly transferred between all parties.
Trades are finalized only after passing the smart contract's validation process. If any NFT fails the validation (e.g., ownership changes, "Not For Trade" status, or approval issues), the blockchain transaction will fail entirely with no partial transfers. The transaction is either fully completed or rejected.
Trade Notifications
NFTDEX provides notifications for completed trades while you are logged in. These notifications feature a fireworks visual effect that appears on-screen for every successful trade. Additionally, if browser notifications are enabled, you will hear a fireworks sound effect to celebrate your completed exchange.
To enable sound notifications:
- Allow Browser Notifications: When prompted by your browser, allow notifications from NFTDEX. If you initially declined, you can enable notifications in your browser settings.
- Stay Logged In: Notifications only appear for trades processed while you are logged into the platform.
How to View Trade History
The Trade History page helps you track and review all your completed trades. Follow these steps:
- Connect Your Wallet: Ensure your wallet is connected to access trade history specific to your account.
- Explore Completed Trades: View details of each trade in the table, including supplied NFTs, received NFTs, and transaction timestamps.
- Inspect Transaction Details: Click on a transaction hash to open the relevant blockchain explorer, allowing you to verify the trade's details and status.
- Review NFT Information: Click on any NFT in the trade record to open a modal displaying its attributes, collection details, and ownership history.
- Refresh Trade History: Use the refresh icon on the Trade History page to load the latest trades recorded on the blockchain.
Tips for Successful Trades
- Send Multiple Offers: For best results, send at least 5 offers per NFT listed "For Trade." This increases the likelihood of matching offers into trades.
- Monitor Trade Options: Regularly check the Options page to find dynamic trade opportunities before they expire or conditions change.
- Verify Transactions: Always use the transaction hash to validate the trade on a blockchain explorer. This ensures transparency and confirms that the trade was completed successfully.
- Keep Supply NFTs Ready: Ensure NFTs used in offers are marked "For Trade," remain in your wallet, and have necessary approvals to avoid failures during validation.
- Be Realistic: Submit trade offers with fair value expectations. Unrealistic offers reduce your chances of successful trades and may result in wasted time.
